SUMMARY:Twin Lakes National Fiddler Contest
DESCRIPTION:The Twin Lakes National Fiddler Championship contest is held annually each 3rd weekend of July.  The next contest will be held on Saturday\, July 20\, 2024 in Leitchfield\, KY on the courthouse square starting at 9 am CDT in conjunction with the Leitchfield Fiddling Festival.  The event will be aired LIVE on Livestream and is free! \nPrizes have been increased in all categories – now offering over $12\,000 in total prizes! The combined fiddle prizes are the BIGGEST east of the Mississippi! \nWe have six categories of competition in fiddling\, as well as dancing\, guitar\, mandolin and banjo.  All six Fiddle categories are Certified by the National Old Time Fiddlers’ Contest at Weiser\, Idaho. \nPre-Festivities will begin on Friday\, July 19\, 2024 at 6:00 pm with events around the city and Courthouse Square. \nOn Saturday\, the fun will begin early on the Courthouse Square.  Several special performances are planned throughout the day. In addition to the competition on the east side of the square\, the Leitchfield Freedom Festival events are happen all around the square with vendor booths\, crafts\, amusement rides and activities for the kids\, an antique car/truck/bike/rat rode show. \nOn Saturday evening after the competition\, we will feature a free concert (TBA)! The concert and all events are free! Make plans now to be in Leitchfield on Friday and Saturday\, July 19 and 20\, 2024!!

DESCRIPTION:The Twin Lakes National Fiddler Championship contest is held annually each 3rd weekend of July.  The next contest will be held on Saturday\, July 16\, 2016 in Leitchfield\, KY on the courthouse square starting at 9 am CDT in conjunction with the Leitchfield Freedom and Fiddling Festival. \nWe have six categories of competition in fiddling\, as well as three of dancing\, bluegrass band\, guitar\, mandolin and banjo. \nClick here for more information about the contest \n  \nThe Twin Lakes Fiddle Festival Queen Pageant will be held at the Centre on Main on Friday\, July 8th  The pageant is open to any young lady residing in Kentucky. \nOther Festivities will begin on Friday\, July 15\, 2016 at 6:00 pm with the 150th City Celebration!  Free food and entertainment by Elvie Shane! Fireworks will be at dusk! \nOn Saturday\, the fun begins early on the Courthouse Square.  In addition to the competition on the east side of the square\, the Leitchfield Freedom Festival events are held all around the square with vendor booths\, crafts\, amusement rides and activities for the kids\, a car “Cruise-In’\, Sponsored by the Western Kentucky Car Club\, and much more!    \nOn Saturday evening\, you will not want to miss a special square dance show and demonstration! \nAfter the contest\, be prepared for even more special entertainment on the square!  Make plans now to be in Leitchfield on Friday and Saturday\, July 15 and 16\, 2016 !! \nClick here for Vendor Registration Information!
